The new triptych “observe the propriety”* by MUSK MING will be presented in the group Show "Not A Car" in LAAA (Los Angeles Art Association), a special cross-cultural exhibition from Germany, alongside artworks from LAAA artists.
* Triptych “observe the propriety” (Don’t Look – Don’t Listen – Don’t Speak) Ink on paper, 40x60cm x 3, 2011 The Chinese characters on the drawings are three slogans, which are taken from the old Chinese book “论语LunYu(Analects of Confucius)”, written during the Spring and Autumn Period through the Warring States Period (ca. 475 BCE - 221 BCE). The three slogans mean: “Look not at what is contrary to propriety”(非礼勿视), “listen not to what is contrary to propriety”(非礼勿听), “speak not what is contrary to propriety” (非礼勿言).
